Do you have staff members with a disability?

Does your organisation have the appropriate structures in place to ensure that staff member can get out in an emergency? If not then how do you get them out? What do you do?

Equal Access will provide your organisation with the appropriate structures and support your organisation in the development of a organisationally customised PEEPs (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans).

Do you have visitors with a disability?

All visitors to your building / facility fall under your Duty of Care, meaning that if a person with a disability is visiting during an emergency evacuation you have the responsibility to safely assist that individual out of harms way.

How do you assist people with a disability in an emergency?

Not all people with a disability require assistance for everyday tasks. However what happens when the usual route of access / egress is not available? Eg. Lifts. What assistance will be required? How do you provide that assistance in a dignified manner?
